This morning was a different story. While washing my hair my hands were covered with hairs. I think the end is nigh. Frankly, it's far less traumatic to wash the hair right off your head than to wake up with piles on your pillows or to have it fall off in clumps randomly during the day, both of which is what I imagined would happen. Maybe if I don't touch it at all, it will just stay in place? Could be, but that would just be nasty. So I think I will wait until it becomes noticeable and then off it goes. I had been hoping that it would hang on until Christmas so it would be less shocking for all around me, but we'll see what happens. Here's a picture of me now, bald ones to follow!

Who knew your hair could hurt?
Ok, it's not really my hair that's hurting, it's my scalp. Frankly, calling it hurting is blowing it way out of proportion. The best I can compare it to is when you sleep and you wake up with bedhead and you try and get your hair to go back in the right direction and your scalp feels weird. That's what it feels like. Starting yesterday morning, my entire scalp felt that way. Everything looked fine and there were only a few hairs on my hands after washing my hair.

Following your blog now. I will call so we can catch up. Wow. That is all I can say.
ReplyDeleteWell. Isn't your dad bald? If I am remembering correctly, he is.....and he looks Fantastic! I suppose it must be harder to cope with the fact that losing your hair makes you feel less you than it is to cope with whether or not bald will be flattering. Still..... I think you will look dashing.
